Receiver

Works on 12V to 24V. The power of 12v comes from the transformer. On the receiver we have the inlet and outlet. (Red +, Black -)

The inlet (red +) is connected to the transformer. The outlet 12V + inlet

The outlet (Black -) is connected to the fan. Between the receiver and the transformer, you can use about 20CM of bell cable (red & black). From the outlet (Red+) connected the bell cable to the fan (red-). Make sure the red cable is going to the red connector.

Inside the receiver is a black button. If the remote control has a good signal (by pressing any button, you should see a strong red light flash at the top of the remote control) and if it’s not working; press ON on the remote control and the button on the receiver and hold it for 3 seconds at least. Then it will be connected. If you lose your remote you can get a new one and connect it to the same receiver. You can use the same directions to connect one remote to numerous toilet.

Remote control

On the back of this toilet you can install a special fan (included) and connect it by wires ( 4 metre wire included) to the special receiver. Now you can control with switches; ON and OFF by means of a small remote control and regulates the speed of the fan by pressing + (faster) and - (slower).

The remote control remembers the last set up and a small light on the top is flashing every 5 seconds to remind us to switch it off when you finish using the toilet, (also indicating that the ventilator is on/working), but when you forget to switch off the remote control; it will turn off itself after 30 mins have past.

Transformer

The Transformer changes power from 240V to 12V. It can be installed in the safety zone ( 225cm from the floor and 60cm from vertical edge of the bath. If the regulation will change - you need to follow the new regulations). The transformer could be connected below the ceiling (in the flats), on top of the ceiling ( in the house), outside or under the floor if it’s more convenient.

 IMPORTANT:

There are two ways to connecting the power to the transformer.

1 - For the bathroom; 2 - For cloakrooms and restaurants.

1.Power needs to be connected all the time. Live and neutral. Then we operate it by the remote.
2.If we connected it from the light switch the transformer will get power but the receiver will start the fan without the remote, working on one speed. This is good for cloakrooms and restaurants (the remote still works if you press any buttons) we don’t want to use that in the bathrooms when we’re coming just to wash our hands or have a bath.

Did You Know:

Without the toilet ventilating system; bacteria and odour travels throughout rooms via air and then they circulate.

2015-07-08

Ceiling or wall fans pull bacteria and odour out of the toilet bowl but spreads them - bacteria will stay on surfaces i.e. toothbrushes, towels, walls, clothing, etc.
